The ChaChaChix-Story

The ChaChaChix are a flock of plucky hens, who would rather remain un-plucked. They live in the depths of the Kent countryside in a paddock which they share with a collection of other equally lovely creatures: the rabbits, mice, moles, the odd badger, clever Mr. Fox and, of course, the cats, Charlie & Chester! The hens earned their name from the way in which, when called in at the end of the day, they waddle as if doing the 'cha-cha!'. Their daily adventures, as they patrol the paddock, on the look out for predators and find their places in the pecking order - have inspired this collection of eclectic art-pieces, infused with humour and much affection.

We hope you will enjoy browsing our whimsical greeting cards, limited edition giclee prints, and sculptures inspired by the vibrant personalities of our hens. We are committed to using sustainable materials and practices, where possible, ensuring that our art not only delights but also respects the environment. A small percentage of all online sales go to a local chicken-rescue charity - as we grow - that percentage will increase.

About

My name is Phoebe Smith, and I am the founder creator of ChaChaChix.com: the culmination of an idea that just grew and grew on me, in the same way that my love of having hens took hold of me and my imagination! ChaChaChix.com has provided me with inspiration and a platform to return to my creative roots - from which I took a break.

I used to design and manufacture bespoke rugs and wall-hangings which I sold from a small gallery in Tunbridge Wells, to private customers, interior designers, Liberty of London, music venues, such as the Ion Bar in Ladbroke Grove, The Mean Fiddler Offices in Harlesden, London and a nursery collection of wallhangings for Harrods. My work has been featured in publications such as House & Garden. A particularly memorable commission I was asked to undertake, was a giant wall-hanging to celebrate the history of the massive former Patons & Baldwins wool factory site for the reception area of Lingfield House at Lingfield Point in Darlington. See below for a few photos!

I am happy to work/collaborate on a limited number of similar design projects in and around the ChaChaChix - please contact me to discuss.

So, this time round, inspired by all things hen - I am bringing together the creative things I love to do and hope that in turn, these creations will bring a little smile to fellow-lovers of our feathered friends!
